Nothing leaves your iPhone until you share it.

Health Export Tool has no account, no server and no analytics. It makes a zip of your Health data on your phone, and that zip goes only where you choose to send it.

What the app reads

Your Apple Health data. With your permission, HET reads the kinds of Health data you allow: workouts with their routes and heart rate, and every other kind of data you grant access to, such as heart rate, sleep, weight and steps. For each record it reads the values, the times, the app and device that recorded it, Health's own record ID, and anything else Health stored with it. That is what goes into the export.

What it does not ask for. HET never requests access to clinical health records. Vision prescriptions and medications are shared by Apple one record at a time, through Apple's own picker; HET reads only the records you choose there.

You can change what HET may read at any time in Settings › Health › Data Access & Devices › HET.

What the app writes

Nothing to Apple Health. HET never asks for permission to write to Health, so it cannot add, change or delete anything there.

It writes one file: the zip of your export, in the app's own temporary storage on your iPhone. HET deletes it the next time you export or open the app, and iOS may clear it sooner.

What leaves your device

Only what you share. When an export finishes, HET hands the zip to the iOS share sheet, and it goes wherever you send it: Files, AirDrop, email or another app. HET does not send it anywhere itself.

HET's only network traffic is with Apple's App Store, to show the price of the one-off unlock, to buy it and to restore it. Nothing about your health is part of that. There is no server to send anything to, no account to sign in to, and no analytics or crash-reporting service of any kind.

What is stored on your device

The free-allowance count, in your iPhone's Keychain: which workouts and which days have already counted against the free 100, as identifiers and dates, so that exporting them again is not charged twice. It is kept in the Keychain so that deleting and reinstalling the app does not reset it. It holds no health values.
A note that HET has already shown Apple's picker for prescriptions and medications, so it does not show it again on every launch.
The most recent export's zip, until it is deleted as described above.

Everything except the Keychain entry is removed when you delete the app.

Purchases

The one-off unlock, Unlimited exports, is sold by Apple through the App Store. Apple handles the payment. HET never sees your payment details and receives only whether the purchase exists.

Children

HET collects nothing, from anyone, of any age.

Any change will be published on this page with a new date. There is no mailing list to notify, because there is no mailing list.
